So I just tried to cancel my cable television.
You know, I don’t really need it & of course I don’t want to spend money on something I don’t really need. So ANYWAY I talked to Customer Support a few minutes ago, you know: no big deal. This is more or less how it went down:
ME: “Hi there. I can’t afford to keep my Cable Television service right now. I still want the High Speed Internet, though. D’you mind cancelling the TV? Thanks.”
THEM: “What if I help you lower your bill by giving you six months of Cable Television for free.”
ME: “Wow, really? What? You’re joking.”
THEM: “No joke. Aaaand it’s done. Your bill just went down by more than 50%. Can I help you with anything else today?”
ME: “Get over here right now because I’m going to french you.”
