This is the only photo I have at my fingertips showing me in all my volcanologist glory. Here, it’s 2003, and I’m just a stone’s throw away from Volcán Lascar (northern Chile, South America). Obviously, the combination of two hiking staves, a silly-looking hiking shirt and a might-as-well-be-on-location Star Wars set meant some photoshopping was required upon my return.
