From penllawen:

This is the most generous and thoughtful birthday gift I’ve ever received.
It’s a fully customised, handmade bobblehead version of me, and (of course!) was a gift from the wonderful Danielle. She designed the clothes, including my glasses, red Chucks, my favourite blue hoodie, and a t-shirt the colour of my favourite Quicksilver one but with a logo saying “SCIENCE”.
Click through to flickr for more pictures, including some of the clay model photos used when Danielle was proofing the design. She has about a dozen emails back and forth with the production company where she’s rejecting various clay models for “hair not pointy enough” and “glasses all wrong” and “doesn’t look sufficiently shouty”.
Thank you D x I love you!

I’m reblogging this not just because it’s an amazing gift that Danielle gave Richard. I’m not even reblogging this because he has a little t-shirt that says SCIENCE on his bobblehead thingy here, even though that’s bad-ass. I’m reblogging this because you should know:
1. Danielle and Richard are truly fantastic people.
2. It’s Richard’s birthday today, and I’m very glad he was born.
Happy Birthday, Richard…! For your birthday, I got you some ‘scientific methodology as the best way we have for teasing out the truths of reality’. It’s not much, but it’s the most important thing I could think of. I hope you like it.
