About to see a 2.5-hour restoration of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis (1927). Never seen it before. Are there robots? I like robots.
You guys, the Castro Theatre here in San Francisco is really pretty.

It’s a long film, but the imagery is beautiful and the message is profound.

I loved this restoration, and I had never seen it before either. There are robots, mad scientists, and some truly superb overacting. It was so much fun.
